Testimonials

“Brian Carden brings his message of organ donation with a Welsh accent, along with laughter and fun. But it’s easy to see, in addition to his resolve to use his life to make a difference, that he hasn’t forgotten the person who got him to this point.

“Somebodies wonderful, unselfish and loving act of ticking that box saved three people that day at Duke Hospital,” Carden said. “I’m eternally grateful to my donor and their family.”

Please except this letter in heartfelt gratitude for your presence, good cheer and excellent commencement remarks you made to Greensboro College class of 2014. You indeed hit the sweet spot in putting what our colleges do, and your theme ‘Never Give up’ was perfect for the ceremony and occasion.

Your participation was much appreciated and your speech very well received. I trust you will agree that Greensboro College does the ceremony quite respectfully, traditionally and very well. It appreciation for your participation in the commencement ceremony Greensboro College has made a donation to the Greensboro Urban Ministry in your honor.

Brian, I have been with CDS for almost 7 years and I have never had a speaker make such an impact on a group like you did last night at the meeting.  They talked about you after the meeting and I have had many emails today.  They loved you so much!!! You did a fantastic job.  A lot of the nurses have asked if you could come speak at different events at the hospital.  You recharged all of us on how and why we are in this career.  I know you will do great tomorrow at the celebration of life.  All of the families will know after meeting you that they definitely made the right decision of donation. Once agin thank you so very much.
